ABOUT
Selena Liu is a Taiwanese-American artist and set designer whose work spans sculpture, installation, and performance.

Native to New York, Selena graduated from Pratt Institute studying Industrial design with a focus in exhibition design. They furthered their studies in Denmark and Scotland, exploring furniture design and sculpture. Their creative process holds refinement and playfulness with equal weight to create objects, sets, and experiences that resonate beyond their mediums.

Selena’s work in performance informs their sensibility, emphasizing interaction within the set, and often blurring the lines between artist and audience. Their background in interior and retail design also influences their approach in creating immersive spaces, and allows them to take on extensive projects. Selena creates objects with a sense of irreverence, which is woven into the aesthetic of their homeware designs. This collection is carried at institutions such as the Whitney Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
